GSKH Success Story Outline PDF Print E-mail
We want your stories! Success stories communicate the Girl Scout mission (building girls of courage, confidence, and character) through the eyes of those who have already benefited from Girl Scouting.  They are a powerful way of illustrating the good that YOU and GSKH are doing every day. Please take this time to share what YOU see change in the girls.  You may include testimonials from girls or volunteers, direct quotes from members, staff, or community partners, specific details about an instance where we meet our mission (troop activity, program event, or community service project, for example), and the positive results that came about from the action.  Tell us about witnessing girls coming out of their shell, eager to learn new things, and the sheer delight on their faces when they make new friends or join in an activity.  Catching a fish, building a robot, learning how to change the oil in a car, getting together to help our communities, or canoeing across the lake—these things are equivalent to the courage, confidence, and character in girls that we proclaim to create.

Example: Susy participated in XYZ program and it benefited her in what way? How did she Discover, Connect, and Take Action?

Troop Finance Summary PDF Print E-mail

Use this form to submit a summary of troop finances. Experiencing difficulty submitting the form? Please click here for helpful hints.

Troop Finance Summary
Due June 1

Troop funds are the property of Girl Scouting and are to be:

  • Used for the purposes of keeping with the Girl Scout Movement
  • Maintained in a checking account in the name of Girl Scout Troop #___, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland
  • Accounted for by income and expenses on the Detailed Record of Troop Funds
  • Reported on this Troop Finance Summary to your regional office by June 1

Girl Scout councils are required by Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. and the Internal Revenue Service to make sure that proper records of troop funds are maintained and kept on file at the Girl Scout Center.

Failure to comply is of serious concern.
