For 24 years Girl Scouts and Goodwill have teamed up annually for the Good Turn Day Donation Drive. Troops across the nation have completed this community service project on behalf of Goodwill and their community. Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland invites you to participate in the 25th year of the Good Turn Day Donation Drive.
This is a fun and easy way to give back to your community by collecting material donations. By de-cluttering or cleaning out closets and homes, you can help provide local jobs and funding for programs and services offered by Goodwill to people with disabilities and barriers to employment.
Participation is simple. Troops wishing to participate must fill out a registration form, (click here), by March 12, 2010 and send it to Sharrilyn Smith at

. Girl Scouts pick up event bags/flyers on April 2, and distribute them in their communities explaining the donation drive and encouraging the household/family to place donations on their curb Saturday, April 17th, by 8 a.m., when Girl Scouts then return to collect the donated material and deliver them to their local Goodwill donation site. Don't be fearful of donation items that are too large! You DO NOT have to take any donation that is too big or that you are unable to transport. The household will be able to deliver these items directly to Goodwill!
