National News
Annual national membership dues
will increase by $3.00 to $15.00,
effective October 1, 2013
The last dues increase of $2.00 went into effect on
October 1, 2009, and was only a short-term, bare-
minimum solution intended to keep operations
funded through the recession. At the 2008 National
Council Session where this dues increase was
determined, the National Board asked that we
anticipate an increase to $15.00 in three to four
years. When this increase goes into effect, we will be
at the four-year mark.
The Customer Focus Forward initiative has
clearly identified the need for GSUSA
to provide higher-quality services
and resources to our customers
via more efficient learning and
support tools for GSLE delivery, as
well as technology that makes joining
Girl Scouts fast and easy.
At $15.00, membership remains a great value. We
look forward to working with councils to deliver the
best possible service and products to our girls, their
families, and all of our members.
