Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland

in the Salina region. Started in 1993
by the YWCA of Salina, theWomen of
Achievement programhas honored
many women who havemade
outstanding contributions in their fields.
Exemplifying the Girl Scout mission,
GSKH continues this worthy endeavor.
On April 11, 2013, we will honor Saline
County rolemodels – thosemaking a
real difference for girls and women who
are dreaming of a better future. We
encourage you to nominate a Salina
area woman for recognition in a relevant
category: Agriculture, Government,
Racial and Social Justice, Business and
Industry, Non-profit, Religion, Creative
and Performing
Arts, Personal
Achievement, Volunteer
Services, Education,
The Professions (law, healthcare,
accounting, etc.), and YoungWoman
of Achievement (high-school or
college-aged). Qualities of a suitable
nominee could include demonstration
of leadership/exceptional talent, or
achievement of a significant level of
success within her career, educational,
or volunteer path.
One outstanding woman in each
category will be selected and honored
at the Salina Country Club.
