Girl Scouts experience all the fun of camp with their
“She” – a registered Girl Scout mom, grandma, aunt,
sister (18+), family friend, etc. Enjoy fun nature,
teambuilding, and craft activity choices, a campfire,
and delicious meals at our premier Girl Scout Camp
*Dinner and breakfast will be provided.
*All girls must be accompanied by an adult.
Brownie Bug Badge Workshop
Botanica –Wichita, KS
June 15 • 10am–11:30am
Age Group:
2nd-3rd grade
• $2.50/
Girls will draw a bug poster, ask a bug specialist for
details, make a bug craft, observe three bugs on a
forest walk, make amodel of a bug house, and visit a
botanical garden.
*Girl Scouts will earn their Bug badge!
*All girls must be accompanied by an adult.
1870’s Right Tools for
the Tasks & Working with Wood
The Basics–Session 1
Old Cowtown Museum–Wichita, KS

Age Group:
6th-12th grade
In themorning, girls will learn that people in the
1870's worked hard, but also took advantage of
tools andmachines that made their work easier. In
the afternoon, girls will learn that before plastics
and compositematerials were invented, themost
common resource was wood. Many projects can be
undertaken once the girls know the basic procedures.
We will explore some of the “rules” that make a good
project possible and Girl Scouts will take home a
project of their own.
*Girls will need to bring a sack lunch.
*Girl Scouts will earn theWoodworking badge!
Wildlifer Challenge Day Camp
Starwoods Outdoor Center – Clearwater, KS
June 18 • 8am– June 21 • 5pm

2nd-5th grade
TheWildlifer Challenge is a series of outdoor
challenges geared towards getting you outdoors-
beyond the pavement-and into themystery of
the unknown. Spend this week proving that you
can complete 15 of the 20 challenges that Kansas
Wildscape has created. During this week you will also
have professional geocachers come to camp and
show you how geocaching is really done! On Thursday
night, pitch a tent and sleep in it if you choose, light a
fire and enjoy an overnighter at Starwoods!
*You will need to bring a sack lunch daily Mon-Thurs.
*Thursday night dinner and Friday breakfast and lunch
*You will earn your Geocacher badge and theWildlifer
Challenge patch!
Computer Graphics
Technology Workshop
Northwest Kansas Technical College – Goodland, KS
June 22 • 9am–3pm
Age Group:
4th-5th grade
This one day workshop will be a very hands-on,
surface level introduction to the fields of computer
graphics technology andmobile application
development. The workshop will provide the assets
and instruction for users of all levels to design their
own game characters, illustrate the characters in
software and integrate them into an iOS iPad game.
*Girls will need to bring a sack lunch.
