Outdoor Leadership for Older Girls
Starwoods Outdoor Center – Clearwater, KS

Make new friends and build up your outdoor skills
as a PA or CIT. Learn how to prepare and cook food
outside. Gain basic skills such as knife safety, knots,
hiking, and outdoor education. Learn how to teach
these skills to younger girls as a PA or CIT. Older girls
will stay the night and then practice their new found
skills during the Outdoor Madness event. Older girls
will help adults facilitate a cooking station, a hike,
a knife safety station, a knot tying station, and an
outdoor education station. Older girls will stay the
night in the lodge both nights.
*All meals included.
Outdoor Madness for Daisies
Starwoods Outdoor Center – Clearwater, KS

outdoor education. Daisies will end the day at 5 p.m.
with a flag ceremony.

Outdoor Madness for Brownies

after enjoying a campfire and S’mores.

*Dinner and snack included.

Daisy Workshop - Clover Petal

Daisies can earn their Clover petal through this fun
workshop. Girls will read the story and talk about its
meaning, make a collage from recycled newspapers,
and ask a gardener how they use resources wisely.

Have you ever wondered how the zoo keepers vare for
the animals at the zoo? There is a lot more involved
than just feeding and cleaning animals (although those
are important things too!). It takes the dedication
and cooperation of many different people in order to
give the animals the quality care they deserve. Join
us as we discover just what it takes to operate a zoo
and keep all the animals healthy. Each session we
will focus on a different aspect of animal care. With
behind the scene tours and visits with our special
animal ambassadors, you won’t want tomiss this
chance to see what would happen if you ran the zoo!
