Mother-Daughter Camp for Older Girls @ Camp Wood

Mothers and daughters will have a bonding time while enjoying activities and spending the night at Camp Wood in Elmdale. Lodging fees: $14 for RV/Tent/Rustic Cabin; $22 for Jones Village. Optional Fees: $13 for short-sleeved T-shirt; $16 for long-sleeved T-shirt. Optional  Activity fees: $12 for the Alpine Tower; $12 for Low Ropes Course; $15 for Trail Ride. All meals and snacks included. Please, no Tag-a-longs. Age Level Girl-to-Adult ratio must be met. *T-shirt deadline has passed and can no longer be ordered.*

Creative Collage @ Ulrich Museum

Collage and mixed media explode as we use found objects to explore various collage techniques and create a variety of textured surfaces. Create mini artist trading cards, jewelry, photo stamping, altered books an decorative CD envelopes. Bring your imagination as we make our own mixed media. Earn the Collage badge. No snack provided. Please bring a sack lunch. Registered girl and 1 parent only, please.

Nocturnal Adventure in the Downing Gorilla Forest-Session 1 @ Sedgwick County Zoo

Come enjoy an adventure-filled night at the Sedgwick County Zoo. You will engage in an exciting evening of games, tours and special animal visitors! No tents needed; you will be sleeping in the Downing Gorilla Forest. The Nocturnal Adventure fee includes snacks and juice in the morning as well as entrance into the zoo the next day. Girl Scouts are required to bring a sack dinner. Registered girl and adult chaperone only, please.

Girl Scout Day at Walters Pumpkin Patch
Oct 18 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Girls and their Troops and families can have a FUN day at Walter’s Pumpkin Patch.

Come anytime from 10am-6pm and enjoy fun activities and a hayrack ride at 2pm

Girl Scouts will get a FREE pumpkin and a patch for attending. You will need to be there before 2pm to go on hayrack ride and get your pumpkin.

Troops must provide their own first aid/cpr person as stated in Safety Activity Checkpoints

Families welcome to attend.

All attendees are $6.00. You may register online and use cookie credits.

Girl Scout Campout! Session 1 @ Sternberg Museum of Natural History

Enjoy an evening on the new Dr. Howard Reynolds Nature Trails. Explore a variety of habitats across 22 acres in the light and at night. Learn about prairie survival techniques, and plants and animals on the prairies as we wind our way around the trails. We will play games, take a pit stop at the campfire, and do many other outdoor activities. Be ready to “campout” in the Museum. Snacks and Breakfast are included. There will be a separate sleeping area available for dads wishing to attend. No tag-a-longs, please. Each Daisy must be accompanied by an adult.

NSC First-Aid and CPR – Hays @ Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland Office

This course provides you with the skills needed to successfully perform First-Aid and CPR. At the conclusion of this course you will be First-Aid and CPR certified by the National Safety Council.  This course includes a home-study portion, and then skills and written testing with a certified instructor.  Once you have registered, you will receive the materials for the home study.  Participants must be physically able to perform the basic skills required for CPR.   Participants will not be allowed to enter the class if they arrive more than 15 minutes after the class begins.

Haunted Stroll @ Starwoods Outdoor Center

Join us for this annual, Starwoods Halloween favorite! This year’s theme will be Zombies!! Daisies and Brownies can enjoy games and activities from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. The older girls (Juniors through Ambassadors) will be invited out to stroll along the haunted Boo Bash Trail from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Haunted Stroll 2013 limited edition bags are available for purchase; get yours today! Orders for the bags can be placed when registering for the event, and there will be a small supply for purchase at the event. Snack included. All are welcome to attend. Girl-to-Adult ratio must be met.

This is your chance to participate in cool science experiments as a “certified”  mad scientist!  Join us on October 24 from 6-9 p.m. and discover the fun side of science.  There will be a mad science costume contest.  Bring a new friend who joins Girl Scouts ($15) and she gets in FREE! Badge Day/J. Low Tea Party @ Osborne United Christian Church

Leaves, pumpkins and mums galore… Get ready, girls, to explore! Daisies and Brownies will gain inspiration for the season through a fall stroll in the Woodland Garden. You will gather natural items from our walk to create a fall “fairy”. You will also plant living centerpieces and make a sweet autumn treat. You are always welcome to pack a picnic lunch and spend the rest of the day exploring the botanical gardens. Sorry – a waiting list is not available for this session. Snack provided. Laser Quest Late Night Adventure @ Laser Quest Wichita

Show your friends- How much FUN Girl Scouts can have!

Participants will challenge their agility, coordination, teamwork and navigational skills with laser tag games in the maze! This is a great opportunity to BRING A FRIEND, girl or Adult to introduce them to the FUN and sisterhood of Girl Scouting.

All participants GIRL AND ADULT must be registered Girl Scouts. New members may register at the event by bringing a completed, signed membership form with them or by having a parent/guardian accompany them on site. Membership form can be printed off click here.

Snacks and drinks will be provided by Wichita East Service Unit.

Any NEW girl that pays to play will have their GSUSA membership fee paid for.

Girl to Adult ratio must be met

Non-participant adults are welcome at no cost to witness the fun. A quiet room with seating will be available.

$20 per participant girl or adult if playing laser tag

If adults are chaperones only- they need to register but not pay the $20 fee.

Neurons, axon, synapses, oh my! Delve into your brain and discover what’s going on inside your head,  test the importance of helmets and dissect a brain. Then camp out among the great architectural wonders of the world! Bring your overnight gear, water bottle and great attitude! Air mattresses, eye masks and cots are welcome.
