This course includes a home-study portion, and then skills and written testing with a certified instructor. Once you have registered, you will need to pick up or make arrangements for delivery of your home study materials. Participants must be physically able to perform the basic skills required for CPR. Participants will not be allowed to enter the class if they arrive more than 15 minutes after the class begins.

Girls – come to the Mall in Hays to enjoy shopping, friends, fun, dancing, body art, an inflatable obstacle course, workshops, crafts, games and prizes! Program Aide Training @ United Christian Church

Are you a Girl Scout Cadette interested in working with younger Girl Scouts?  A PA is a girl who uses leadership skills to share her interests and experiences with younger girls in a troop, group or camp setting.

When girls guide or teach others, they act as mentors. Teen mentoring is a win-win situation! You will deepen your understanding of what leadership development means and get excited about guiding others! You too can learn to be a champion mentor that delivers fun with purpose to younger Girl Scouts.

This training serves as a requirement for the Program Aide Award and is a prerequisite for the Outdoor Leadership Training for Older Girls, which is held in May and is required for you to be a Program Aide at Summer Camp.

Creative Collage @ Ulrich Museum

Collage and mixed media explode as we use found objects to explore various collage techniques and create a variety of textured surfaces. Create mini artist trading cards, jewelry, photo stamping, altered books an decorative CD envelopes. Bring your imagination as we make our own mixed media. Earn the Collage badge. No snack provided. Nocturnal Adventure in the Downing Gorilla Forest-Session 1 @ Sedgwick County Zoo

Come enjoy an adventure-filled night at the Sedgwick County Zoo. You will engage in an exciting evening of games, tours and special animal visitors! No tents needed; you will be sleeping in the Downing Gorilla Forest. The Nocturnal Adventure fee includes snacks and juice in the morning as well as entrance into the zoo the next day. Girl Scouts are required to bring a sack dinner. Registered girl and adult chaperone only, please.

Girl Scout Day at Walters Pumpkin Patch

Girls and their Troops and families can have a FUN day at Walter’s Pumpkin Patch.

Come anytime from 10am-6pm and enjoy fun activities and a hayrack ride at 2pm

Girl Scouts will get a FREE pumpkin and a patch for attending. You will need to be there before 2pm to go on hayrack ride and get your pumpkin.

Troops must provide their own first aid/cpr person as stated in Safety Activity Checkpoints

Families welcome to attend.

Girl Scout Campout! Session 1 @ Sternberg Museum of Natural History

Enjoy an evening on the new Dr. Howard Reynolds Nature Trails. Explore a variety of habitats across 22 acres in the light and at night. Learn about prairie survival techniques, and plants and animals on the prairies as we wind our way around the trails. We will play games, take a pit stop at the campfire, and do many other outdoor activities. Be ready to “campout” in the Museum. Snacks and Breakfast are included. There will be a separate sleeping area available for dads wishing to attend. No tag-a-longs, please. Each Daisy must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us for this annual, Starwoods Halloween favorite! This year’s theme will be Zombies!! Daisies and Brownies can enjoy games and activities from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. The older girls (Juniors through Ambassadors) will be invited out to stroll along the haunted Boo Bash Trail from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Haunted Stroll 2013 limited edition bags are available for purchase; get yours today! Leaves, pumpkins and mums galore… Get ready, girls, to explore! Daisies and Brownies will gain inspiration for the season through a fall stroll in the Woodland Garden. You will gather natural items from our walk to create a fall “fairy”. You will also plant living centerpieces and make a sweet autumn treat.
