This combined overnight course prepares the volunteer for semi primitive camping outside your community, as well as backyard campouts, day camps, and camping adventures within your own community or at any Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland Camp property. You will experience the demonstration of outdoor cooking methods and fire building as well as the procedures for pitching, striking and caring for tents. Additional outdoor skills and activities that can be added to the girl program are included in this workshop.  Prerequisites – Outdoor Leadership -100 Home-study.

*To accommodate schedules and travel time, please bring a brown-bag supper, and arrive between 6 and 7 p.m.

Note: Adult volunteers should register through the online registration system. Girl registrations should be made through Ultracamp.
