Grab your flashlights and get ready to spend the night 650 feet below Hutchinson in an active rock salt mine! At this overnight, you will learn about the salt mining process, view retired mining equipment, visit the Geology exhibit and see costumes from Hollywood. You will take a dark 1.5 mine hike by flashlight where you will see items left behind by miners, collect a souvenir salt rock and spend time making a craft item from salt. Required equipment: 1 bottle of water, sleeping bag, flashlight, snacks. Optional: money for gift store. Dinner must be eaten before this event as it will provide energy for the hikes! Registered girl and adult chaperone only, please. Adult-to-Girl Ratio: 1:2
