AIWF Days of Taste® is a national interactive program to teach students in an engaging way about the importance of fresh food and how ingredients weave their way though daily life. AIWF and Chef John Michael, Butler County Institute Instructor, will present an agenda to satisfy requirements for the Girl Scout Simple Meal Badge. You will begin the day with a tour of the Culinary Institute kitchen and discussions with Chef John on cooking safety and cleanliness. You will discuss what makes a nutritionally balanced meal including more whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables, how to present food in a visually appealing manner, and how to properly set a table. Finally you will participate in the preparation of a health meal consisting of a cheese enchilada with a side salad.
