People in the 1870s worked hard but took advantage of tools and machines that made their work easier. Girl Scouts will explore the scientific foundations of tools and why they work. Later, girls will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge while constructing a project from the most basic material: wood. They will learn some of the “rules” of working with wood and apply them in creating a project they can take home. Earn the Woodworking badge! Girls need to bring a sack lunch. No busing provided. A waiting list is available for this session.
