Ashlan Davis of Chapman used the aMuse Journey in completing her Bronze Award in February 2013. Her project, “Slow Children Playing” signs, brought three signs to the Chapman community near a new elementary school. She saw a need to slow down traffic in order for children in the streets. Ashlan petitioned her neighborhood, presented her ideas to the city council and raised money to cover half the cost of the project. See Ashlan with her completed sign project.
The Bronze Award is the third highest award in Girl Scouts of the USA. It was introduced by GSUSA in 2001, and can only be earned by Girl Scouts at the Junior level or higher. See more about Teen Mentoring Awards here.
