Due to the generosity of donors, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is able to offer several scholarships. This year’s scholarship offerings are:

- Helen Liefert Scholarship: $500 (one scholarship available)
- Alumni and Friends Scholarship: $1,000 (one scholarship available)
- Gold Award Scholarship: $2,500 (up to two scholarships available)
All applications are due no later than February 13 by 5 p.m. each year. Recipients of named scholarships above are recognized at Young Women of Distinction events in the council. Girl Scouts of the USA has also compiled a list of universities/colleges, foundations, and Girl Scout councils that offer scholarships, awards, and grants to Girl Scouts. Search Scholarships on the Kansas Girl Scouts website for more information.
Eight Kansas Girl Scouts were awarded more than $28,000 in scholarships in 2012. Four were present during the Young Women of Distinction presentation at Girl Scouts Go Greensburg in April to be recognized.
